Project Overview
A Strategy for Long-Term Sustainability
Thrive Trust, which includes 10 schools across Hull, wanted to take decisive action on carbon emissions and energy costs. C3 Group brought deep expertise in education-sector decarbonisation, forming a partnership focused on delivering fundable upgrades, ongoing evaluation, and a clear roadmap to net zero.
What We Did
Data-Driven Upgrades and Measurable Results
We helped the Trust implement practical solutions across multiple school buildings – backed by energy assessments, detailed ROI modelling, and a long-term vision for continual progress.
Scope of Work:
- 4,403 LED panels installed, reducing electricity demand
- £222,441.59 in energy cost savings to date
- 104.3 tonnes of CO₂e emissions avoided
- 3.33 years average ROI across projects
Beyond delivery, we’re guiding the Trust through setting clear targets, tracking milestones, and refining strategies to maximise long-term results.

By prioritising low-disruption, high-impact interventions like LED lighting, Thrive Trust is already seeing results – lower bills, reduced emissions, and stronger internal accountability around sustainability goals.
